| Inspected unit and found no issue with the mechanism. The problem is with the seat insert being eaten by the footrest when closing. Seat cushion protrudes about 2 inches past the footrest when fully closed. Seat cushion now has a permanent curve at the front where it was dented by the footrest. Flipped insert over in casing so the lump faces up. Unit closes now as it should, but the cushion should still be replaced. |
